New Missing People Website Launch - Tie a Ribbon

Tie a Ribbon is a website idea thought up by 25 year old Liam Gallagher after the suicide of his close friend to raise awareness of missing people online.

Liam Gallagher also built the website up from the beginning before Martin Mulvey came on board to help in the promotion and drive of the website.

The launch of the new website, which offers quick and easy access to essential information on missing people and their whereabouts, is part of Tie a Ribbons ongoing efforts to raise awareness for missing individuals and reunite them with loved ones.

The website boasts a simple, modern, colourful design and is intuitive to use.

The website offers advanced features in the form of user sightings plotted on a map, as well as detailed information on each missing individual. Visitors can provide information on missing people, that if genuine is reflected in real time on the Tie a Ribbon website.

Other new functions include a photo gallery of each missing person, social network share buttons to promote the page amongst social networks, and the ability to download a PDF poster of each missing person, complete with photos and a link to their respective page.

At the heart of Tie a Ribbon are two recently graduated young professionals. We have funded this project ourselves as we believe that finding missing persons in the UK is serious problem that needs to be given a helping hand. We really wanted to help the growing number of individuals going missing, as well as their friends and families.

Although we are the founders of this website, it is nothing without the help of people like you. The idea is one that needs communities to pull together and the wider social media world to lend a hand too. The site is free to use and there are no limits to browsing the list of missing people.

At Tie a Ribbon, we rely on information that people send to us. We have considered the important details necessary to locate a missing person but we have also made sure not to limit what facts can be sent to us. The Contact Us page has been designed to allow people to report anything they feel is beneficial, and there are no set categories to choose from.

Our help won't stop at finding a person. We are working with other organisations to direct people who have been missing and their families to after care they may require such as counselling.

We believe that finding even one missing person will make this website worthwhile, but why stop there? If, with your help, we can find one person, imagine how many more people Tie a Ribbon can reunite.
