KNUTH Machine Tools: MORE DIMENSIONS – Cutting solutions to new challenges in production and manufacturing

During the SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN, the leading Welding and Cutting Trade Show held from September 16 to 21 in Essen, Germany, KNUTH will show its latest machine innovations and an exciting selection of its large product offering at the Galeria Booth GA114.

In accordance with its "More Dimensions" slogan for 2014, the machines offered by this one-stop source supplier excel with more capacity, more flexibility, significant cost and time savings and optimized energy-efficiency.
Experienced technicians will provide live demonstrations on various systems daily at the exhibition to showcase KNUTH's competence in all three cutting technologies. "These demos will illustrate differences and strengths of each cutting technology. This will give customers and show visitors objective information that will help them to find the ideal machine for their applications," said Christian Busch, Knuth Sales Manager. Christian Busch and his colleagues will be available at the KNUTH Cutting Center to help prospective customers find the perfect machine tool for their needs. This includes sample machining, cutting demos and technology comparisons – as close to real-life as possible, using the customer's materials and workpieces.

KNUTH will show the machines listed below in Essen, Germany:
• Laser-Jet FL 2000 with IPG fiber laser technology and innovative CNC control. This very compact laser cutting system of the Laser-Jet series has a proven record in everyday industrial applications. With its small footprint and high flexibility, it is an ideal machine for single parts and small batch productions. Allowing selection between CO2 laser and fiber laser with different beam powers, results in a very wide variety of possible cutting applications.

• The 2.5 D Cutter Head is based on the proven Hydro-Jet ECO 1525 water-jet cutting system and offers a great alternative to the Hydro-Jet ECO series. With Nutator cutting kinematics, endless rotating and a swivel range up to 51 degrees, this cutter head ideally complements the water-jet cutting system to provide increased flexibility, e.g. for contour cutting and welded joint preparation in one process. As it is typical for KNUTH, a very competitive price/performance ratio was established to provide users with significant time and cost savings compared to machining processes on traditional 2D cutting systems.

• Plasma-Jet DST 1530 - HyPerformance cutting quality without compromise. The entire package integrates leading Hypertherm technology, from cutting source, control and software to the cutter head. Premium linear guides and helical gears guide the cutter head with high reliability across the bridge, which is dynamically driven by servomotors on both sides, and along the cutting contour.

• Hydro-Jet ECO 0515 SL. Heavy, high-precision machine base made of granite and complete equipment, including precision linear guides and preloaded ball screws, set the stage for extremely precise cutter head guidance. This machine uses the same modern control as larger Hydro-Jet models from KNUTH. It features a premium abrasives metering system and sophisticated machine technology for maximum flexibility that allows cutting finest filigree contours and high-precision parts.

• KNWP 60 HM Workshop Press. This series includes various presses with 60 to 200 tons force. The dual-acting cylinder is horizontally adjustable and features a long cylinder stroke.
