MORE DIMENSIONS – Innovative solutions to new challenges in production and manufacturing
KNUTH presents highlights from its 2014 portfolio at the EMO, the world's largest international trade fair for metal working

Increased performance, more flexibility, significant cost and time savings, maximized energy-efficiency – these are the themes for KNUTH Machine Tools at this year's EMO. KNUTH, the one-stop source for machine tools, will show larger demo machines than ever before and highlight almost all of its new products for 2014 at two booths. Come see for yourself and visit us September 16 to 21 at the EMO in hall 12, booth E44 and in hall 13, booth B04.

Our top new machine for 2014 is the Millano 5X400 CNC. This first-class 5-axis machining center features a perfectly machined mineral-casting frame, zero-tolerance torque motors for swivel and rotary tables, and a centrally located quick-action tool changer, topped off by enormous feed dynamics and axis accelerations up to 1 g. The Millano 5X T-Series additionally features fully integrated lathe technology and allows milling and drilling in one setup – all this on one 5-axis machining center. In combination with the swiveling spindle axis, this opens doors to totally new machining possibilities.

The LineaLunga 25 D CNC Lathe is an innovative CNC Swiss-Type Automatic Lathe for high-efficiency production, featuring driven and fixed tools. Main spindle and sub-spindle allow complete two-sided machining of any part.

With its special high gantry design, the KNUTH Portalo 2216 CNC Gantry-Type Machining Center can handle workpiece weights up to 2 tons per sqm (2.2 tons per 10 sq. ft.). This series includes various models with three machining widths up to 2200 mm (87"), and various machining lengths up to 8200 mm (323").

In the conventional milling machine sector, KNUTH offers two new models this year: the Predator 1600 VH and the Servomill 1000. Both are bed-type milling machines with very large work areas, featuring servo/conventional drive technology. In step with this year's EMO motto "Intelligence in Production", both machines are very user-friendly and offer more precision plus increased reliability, and productivity.
