Press release from: Skelta Software

August 23, 2007 Skelta Software announced the release of Skelta BPM.NET 2007 and Skelta SharePoint Accelerator 2007. The much anticipated release of Skelta BPM.NET 2007 provides the user a rich set of features to make enterprise business process management a collaborative effort between Business Managers, Analysts and Developers. It introduces several innovative concepts such as the Skelta Enterprise Portal and Skelta Central Configuration for integrated process management and administration. Skelta SharePoint Accelerator 2007 extends the usability features of Skelta BPM.NET 2007 to SharePoint installations. It offers complete integration with Office 2007 and enables Business Users to design, publish and manage workflows from within SharePoint lists and libraries. Both editions include wizards for easy workflow design.

Announcing the release, Sanjay Shah, CEO Skelta, said “Skelta BPM.NET 2007 builds on the strong foundation laid by its predecessor, Skelta BPM.NET 2006. It marks a paradigm shift from developer-centric BPM automation tools to a holistic enterprise BPM platform. Skelta BPM.NET 2007 emphatically addresses business user needs for managing an automated process environment with minimal technical resources. The Skelta Enterprise Portal, for instance, provides a central gateway to all enterprise processes. Our other release, Skelta SharePoint Accelerator 2007 brings the power of BPM to every SharePoint user. The integration is truly seamless – Skelta features are accessible from within existing SharePoint sites while workflows can operate on all SharePoint events including ING events.”

Enhancements to installation and configuration have further reduced ‘time to use’ to less than 45 minutes on a single server installation. Other features include Skelta Central Configuration sites for centralized configuration of Skelta BPM Workflows, integration with InfoPath documents in SharePoint libraries, custom actions to connect to a Skelta Workflow from a Workflow Foundation workflow, and enhancements to XML integration features.
