Press release from: Hydromassage

After a successful 18 year tenure with Star Trac, fitness industry veteran John Sweeney has joined HydroMassage as Vice President of Commercial Sales.

Sweeney, whose most recent roles with Star Trac included Regional Sales Director and VP of North American Sales, brings a strong track record of success to HydroMassage as the company continues to focus on growth in the fitness industry.

"The addition of John to our team really comes at a great time", commented Paul Lunter, HydroMassage Founder and President.

"We've been really fortunate to experience a period of remarkable growth in fitness, posting a 165% increase in unit sales from 2011 to 2012. But, the opportunity to now work with someone of John's caliber is incredibly exciting, as we look to build upon our foundation over the next three to five years."

The uptick in HydroMassage sales is primarily attributed to an increase in average units per order, as clubs that had previously purchased one or two beds are opting to showcase HydroMassage Zones with three, four, or five HydroMassage beds per location. To offset downward pressure on membership dues, HydroMassage is primarily being utilized to increase conversions for higher priced, premium membership packages.

As VP of Commercial Sales for HydroMassage, John will focus on adding new talent to the sales team in addition to increasing sales to key accounts.

Sweeney noted, "I am really pleased to be a part of the HydroMassage leadership team. Having spent 18 years with one company, I don't take decisions like this lightly. But, after seeing how HydroMassage is filling such a large need right now in the industry, I'm extremely confident about the prospects for growth here. I'm eager to get started."

John Porro Exhibits in New York
John Porro uses stark, economical lines to let the human body tell visual stories about the world around him. His drawings pay subtle homage to the work of the German Expressionists, and particularly to Austrian artist Egon Scheile. However, Porro goes beyond Scheile and enters a sphere of intimacy with his subjects. Porro’s focus is divided equally between the lines, the spaces created by those lines, and the jagged spaces
