Successful commissioning of cold strip slitting line at C.D. Waelzholz

After the scheduled manufacturing phase, KERN Industrie Automation successfully commissioned a cold strip slitting line at C.D. Waelzholz service center in Iserlohn (Germany). The mechanical assemblies were carried out by C-Technik.
The order included the planning, delivery, disassembly/assembly and commissioning of the complete electric/ automation package, consisting of:
- Cable route construction, cabling;
- Electrical switchgear in separate container;
- S7-1500 automation system;
- Control panels;
- WinCC HMI system.

In addition, our in-house KERN safety fence system was used as a protective device.

With the order, CDW, as a long-standing customer, has once again shown its trust in the services of KERN Industrie Automation. This plant is already the third slitting line implemented by KERN at CDW. Due to the uniform operating concept of all three plants, it is particularly easy for the operator to switch between the different production sites.

An advantage that significantly reduces operating errors and thus pays off for CDW.
