The 14th Fitz Club Tennis Tournament Delivers 3 Days of Incredible Matches Once Again

Pattaya, Thailand - The 14th Fitz Club Tennis Tournament recently held at the Fitz Club - Racquets, Health and Fitness was a smashing success. Sponsored by Yonex Thailand, Carabao Group Public Company Limited, Daikin Industries Ltd, Kasidit Marble and Granite Company, Supply Gallery, T & T Aluminum, The Aspen Tree by Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC), Dunlop Sport, Water & Pool, Blue Ocean Inter Group and Anarchy Chocolate, the tournament brought local and international competitors and lively fans who came out for 3 days of non-stop epic tennis action.

As one of the most highly anticipated sports events in Pattaya each year, the entertaining matches were once again competitive and produced top-level tennis. The tournament adopted an ATP World Tour finals style setting and the round-robin scoring system format which enabled competitors to play several thrilling matches against different opponents making it an action-packed weekend for all.

Mr. Jiri Cermak, who has been a long-time participant of the Fitz Club Tournaments, was ultimately crowned the 14th Fitz Club Tennis Tournament Champion for the first time. Mr. Vitanart Vathanakul, CEO of Royal Cliff Hotels Group was the 1st runner-up. Players who also won the group stage and reached the tough semi-finals were Mr. Ryckembusch Martial and Mr. Alvaro Urrutia who showed off their impressive skills in all their matches. Mr. Alberto Cinicola was announced the winner of the second division. Amazing athletes, admirable sportsmanship, and perfect weather made the 14th Fitz Club Tennis Tournament an event to remember!

The Fitz Club Tennis Tournament continues to promote sports, friendship, recreation, and the value of an active lifestyle, especially to more senior players. Royal Cliff aims to build a Tennis and sports community in Pattaya and give the older generation opportunity to stay active, improve their game, and get more socially connected. Preventive measures against COVID-19 was in place throughout the tournament which was strictly adhered to the government policy when it comes to health, social distancing, and hygiene. These include temperature checks, Antigen Testing, the use of hand sanitizers, and social distancing guidelines for the spectators. A nurse was on standby during the tournament.
