New Meopta Optika binocular series

The Czech sports optics manufacturer Meopta offers impressive values ​​in the entry-level class with the new Optika HD binocular series. The new Optika binoculars have a lens diameter of 42 mm and are available with 8x and 10x magnification. With these values, the Optika can be described as an all-round binocular and is well suited for hiking and hunting. With a weight of just 650 g and compact external dimensions of 138 mm in height and 49 mm in depth, these binoculars fit in any jacket pocket and can also be taken on longer trips. The magnesium alloy case is rubberized on the outside to soften shocks and offers sufficient stability despite its low weight. In addition, the rubber coating helps to minimize noise during operation, which is particularly advantageous for bird watching and hunting.

The outer lens surfaces are provided with a Meo-Shield ™ and MeoDrop ™ coating, the Meo-Shield ™ coating protects the lens from damage, the MeoDrop ™ coating allows moisture to roll off to always ensure the best possible view. The ED glass (Extra Low Dispersion) minimizes reflections and ensures high light transmission and thus a bright, clear image. The phase correction and the dielectric coating of the lenses ensure high contrast and good color fidelity over the entire image. This is particularly evident in poor visibility and at dusk, since the first thing that is lost in low light is the contrast and color fidelity. The transmission in daylight is 88%, in twilight it is still 85% (manufacturer information). The HD (high-definition) fluoride lens elements further increase the contrast and sharpness of the image.

Like all Meopta binoculars, the Optika HD (High Definition) binoculars are filled with nitrogen to prevent fogging and increase water and dust tightness. The enormous field of view of 131 m at a distance of 100 m is exemplary in this class, the Optika HD binoculars do not have to hide from higher-priced binoculars from other manufacturers in this regard. The adjustment range for the diopter compensation is -4 / 4 D and the eye width when folded is 56 mm, open 74 mm. For a long service life, the eyecups are made of metal and covered with a rubber coating to ensure a high level of comfort during use.

The Meopta Optika HD binoculars are suitable for outdoor activities and ornithologists or as a second pair of glasses for hunting. The Optika comes with a case, carrying strap, protective lens cap, cleaning cloth and instruction manual.
