We at PLAYSENSE are proud to present our latest visual creation. We've made this announcement trailer for Monopoly Madness, the latest virtual rendition of the board game classic published by Ubisoft. Check it out right now:

We hope you're enjoying it as much as we've enjoyed making it, and we really have. The most important and challenging thing about this trailer was to try and deliver that quirky and frenetic atmosphere of the game right through your screen. Another challenge was to make the colorful visual style shine in all its glory.

The solution
So this is how it was done. We took some actual footage of the gameplay and sliced it up really nice. There were two reasons to do that. First, we intended to squeeze in as much gameplay as we possibly could. Second, that was done to reflect the insane pace and overall quirkiness of Monopoly Madness.

Then we added some CG visuals made by our team and ensured that transitions between them and the gameplay footage were seamless. Of course, we lovingly borrowed the existing visual features of the in-game buildings, objects, and maps. These things were improved with detail and some more character.

But we wouldn't be Playsense if we did not base the entire thing on a narrative. This time, it's about Mr. Monopoly himself going on a vacation. We felt this was a perfect premise for these mad things to happen in Monopoly City. But we couldn't ignore other iconic characters of the franchise, so we included them in our little story, too.

And the result is what you've just seen. Mr. Monopoly flies away, and other characters engage in a comically fast-paced run for all the money they possibly can find. The trailer also manages to show the key features of the game - and all of that in just 1:23. How did we do that? Well, our experience helps a lot.

Yes, this isn't our first job with trailers. Actually, we at PLAYSENSE make them all the time, and they are really good. We've worked with many cool projects, and we really like to understand the game's lore before working on its trailer.
