Large order from the cruise ship industry for OR Technology X-ray

OR Technology will supply all 12 vessels of MSC Cruises with digital X-ray units. The cruise ship company decided to purchase the digital, portable Leonardo DR1417 system with a detector, which will be installed on all the ships. In addition, OR Technology will also supply new mobile X-ray units for nine ships.
The compact Leonardo suitcase solution is a portable digital X-ray system for mobile and stationary medical facilities of any type. The practical robust suitcase with a retractable handle and integrated wheels is ideal for mobile use. Due to its light weight it can be transported fast and easily to any place of operation. An integrated laptop guarantees high-quality viewing of images.
“Thanks to the integrated diagnostic evaluation software as well as various options of distributing images via the Internet, the mobile Leonardo X-ray system offers a user-friendly and secure solution”, says Bernd Oehm, the CEO of the enterprise that has been operating for twenty years. “To allow fast and cost-effective transfer of X-ray images to external radiologists worldwide, OR Technology has developed solutions in the field of telemedicine which guarantee constant accessibility. All you need is a computer with Internet access.”

MSC Cruises is the market leader among cruise ship enterprises in the Mediterranean, in South Africa and Brazil. In 2013, more than 1.5 million cruise ship passengers are expected on board the ships of the state-of-the-art fleet.
