Save-A-Pet To Host St. Pitty’s Day Party
(Port Jefferson Station, NY) — Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, Inc. will be holding a “St. Pitty’s Day” Party at the shelter on Saturday, March 16, from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm. For a $10 donation, guests will enjoy an authentic Irish buffet of corned beef and cabbage, Irish soda bread, delicious desserts, beer, and Irish beverages — and get to meet the sweet and playful Pit Bulls of Save-A-Pet that are all available for adoption!“We have quite a number of Pit Bulls here at the shelter,” said Save-A-Pet Founder/President Dori Scofield. “It’s a shame because this breed is woefully misunderstood. These are loving, terrific dogs that deserve a forever home and we’re hoping the luck of the Irish helps them find one.”
All Pit Bull adoptions are free and each dog has been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped.

Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue Inc. was established in 1994 and is located in Port Jefferson Station. Save-A-Pet works tirelessly to place orphaned companion animals into loving homes. All of the animals that come to Save-A-Pet are spayed, neutered, tested for diseases and vaccinated. Prospective adopters are thoroughly screened and matched with the most suitable pet for them and their family. Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill shelter and is a safe haven for all of the animals that enter it.
