SmartTOP Convertible Top add-on kit for Audi A5 Convertible receives price reduction

Aftermarket automotive electronics specialist Mods4cars has permanently lowered the price for the SmartTOP add-on top controller for Audi A5 convertibles. The kit now sells for 249 Euros + tax. It allows convenient and fully automatic one-touch top operation as well as top operation from the original factory key fob remote. Additionally it extends the range for remote operation.

Being able to raise the top quickly at the first sign of rain without the need to rush out to the car is priceless. Additionally, the original key fobs do not need to be changed or reprogrammed.

On cars with keyless entry systems the top can even be controlled via the touch door handle without the need to retrieve the key. Additional bonus features of the module are: Starting and stopping of the engine can be set to not interrupt an ongoing top operation and the windows can be operated independently from the top by remote. A short horn beep as lock/unlock confirmation can be set and the entire SmartTOP module can be temporarily disabled while retaining all user preferences.

Each SmartTOP module comes with a built-in standard USB port for quick and easy configuration or firmware updates via a PC or Mac. Support software and module updates are available free of charge online.

Installation of the kit is quick and simple thanks to easy access to the top control unit under a compartment in the trunk. The supplied, custom designed Plug-and-Play wiring adapter means the kit can be installed by anyone in minutes and without the need to make any permanent changes to the car.
