Russian Railways Logistics Develops Cooperation with Solikamskbumprom
Russian Railways Logistics strengthens its cooperation with JSC Solikamskbumprom, one of the leading enterprises of pulp and paper industry in Russia with a number of clients abroad. In the framework of this partnership the container train delivery was organized on the route Chelyabinsk-Solikamsk-Avtovo (in St. Petersburg). The train consisted of 43 forty-foot containers with the finished products of the company for export to Pakistan, Spain and Israel. That was the 14th container train since the cooperation had started and the first one dispatched from Chelyabinsk. Containerized cargo volume totaled 1,300 TEU.Russian Railways Logistics plans to enhance this partnership with Solikamskbumprom and to develop the new routes with sea freight carriers in addition to the existing ones from Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk to optimize export and import traffic. When organizing the recent container train Russian Railways Logistics provided its customer with inte-grated logistics solutions, which included truck forwarding, provision of empty containers, terminal handling, insurance and sea freight services.
JSC Solikamskbumprom is one of the leading enterprises of pulp and paper industry in Russia. It is a modern enterprise, which produces high-quality newsprint paper. Production of JSC Solikamskbumprom is in demand among leading publishing houses in Russia and abroad. The half of the total amount of goods is produced for export. The final products of Solikamskbumprom are currently available in the US and Brazil. In addition the company delivers paper to the UAE, Egypt, India, Turkey and some other countries.
JSC Russian Railways Logistics was founded in 2010 for the purpose of development of logistics business within “Russian Railways” Holding. In cooperation with Russian Railways subsidiaries and leading global transportation companies RZD logistics offers high-quality delivery solutions for its customers all over the world.
In 2012 the company organized transportation of 3.3 mn tons of cargo against 1.5 mn tons in 2011. Net profit of the company of amounted to RUB97.2 mn in 2011.
Russian Railways Logistics offers rail, road and sea-freight, intermodal transportation, storage and terminal handling, customs and insurance services, supply chain management.
