BeamaLife Corporation, one of New Jersey's leading life insurance firms announced today the hiring of John Collins as their Senior Vice President in their large corporations and banks division.

John Collins, a twenty five year veteran of business development, sales and team leadership, is leading BeamaLife’s Large Corporations and Banks division. He is in charge of expanding the division and accelerating the growth of BeamaLife’s portfolio of life insurance funded executive benefits plans like “Split Dollar”, “Deferred Compensation”, “Section 162 Bonus” and wealth creation strategies like "Corporate Owned Life Insurance (COLI)" and "Banked Owned Life Insurance (BOLI)".

Collins has more than 20 years of experience building companies in the areas of sales and business development. His tenacity and innovative perspective has helped spearhead change and enterprise growth within all the companies he has worked with. In 1988, Collins started his career as one of the original members at Teleport Communications Group, (TCG), a joint venture between Merrill Lynch and NY/NJ Port Authority. In his eleven years, Collins held responsibilities in operations and sales. In 1996 TCG had a very successful IPO, served 65 markets and generated $800 million in revenue. In 1998 TCG was acquired for $12 Billion. From there Collins continued his career helping grow companies. He held various business development management positions with companies such as, AT&T, SS8, NexTone, VPI and Cirrant.

Most recently, Collins led Cirrant, a New York based privately-held consulting firm where he was charged with growing the client base and building a leadership position within the industry. A graduate of the City University of New York in Engineering, he holds considerable expertise in case design, sales engineering and leadership development.
