Press release from: Musicline School Musicals

Musicline, a leading provider of musical stage works, has released a brand new musical adventure 'Timelord' written by well-known composer, Gawen Robinson.

'Timelord' follows the adventures of two children, Harriet and Sam when they discover a mysterious old board game that has been hidden in a sealed cupboard for more than 70 years.

As they play the game 'Timelord' they are led on an unforgettable adventure into the past. They meet a real Timelord and a series of fascinating historical characters like Florence Nightingale, Beethoven and Boudicca. They also confront danger in the form of ferocious dinosaurs, Dinopods, who are determined to win back the planet.

'Timelord' possesses all the usual characteristics of a Musicline musical. It’s funny, has fantastic sing-along songs and memorable, easy-to-teach lines.
It has been written to allow flexibility in casting so it’s suitable for both KS1 and KS2 pupils with 27 speaking roles and unlimited chorus parts. 'Timelord' also features Musicline’s unique line count system making casting a five minute job.

'Timelord’s' pre-release performances received brilliant reviews. Sally Chester, deputy head of Ayscoughfee Hall School, Lincolnshire said: “What a great idea, especially with the Dr Who 50th Anniversary on the horizon.”
Musicline supply CDs with backing tracks, sound effects and vocal tracks to make performing 'Timelord' as effortless as possible. However, there is also a performance pianoforte score, Grade 5 standard with overture, play ons / offs, songs, link music, cues and chord symbols. On top of this a brand new rehearsal score, Grade 2/3, is provided.

Musicline director Mike Smith said: “We are thrilled to bring you 'Timelord'. It’s funny, exciting and takes audiences on an adventure that both children and parents will love. We think it’s a real treat and we hope you enjoy it.”

Gawen Robinson is a popular author who writes regularly for Musicline. His musical hits include favourites like Go for Gold, The Glint of Gold, The Tudor Rose and We’ll Meet Again.
