Building on its success in France, AEDMAP is now deploying its AED management solution in Europe and Middle-East
Paris, January 24th 2013. AED installation answers a public health need. AEDMAP, defibrillators management and geolocation solution launched in France by Dr Paul Dardel, prepares to conquer European and Middle East markets. A new axis of development and growth for AEDMAP that primarily targets companies and public authorities.“Installing defibrillators is not enough. It is vital to map them, maintain them regularly, facilitate and promote their use and train the public to use them”, says Dr. Paul Dardel, founder and CEO of AEDMAP. Based on that observation, he has designed and developed the AEDMAP solution.
Reference and geolocate
AEDMAP is a software solution which references and geolocates defibrillators. This solution enables companies and public authorities to enhance their defibrillators database in real time through a secure administration interface. Each new device is registered immediately and mapped, enabling then anyone to geolocate it.
Monitor and maintain
The administration interface developed by AEDMAP shows in real time the status of all referenced defibrillators. Pads or batteries to replace, inspection to schedule, malfunctions,… All the information regarding maintenance actions to perform are available online and on smartphones.
Educate and train
"The prevention of cardiovascular diseases, CPR learning and installation of defibrillators do help saving lives," says Pr. A. Mignon, MD, PHD, anesthesiologist (Cochin Hospital, Paris). This is why AEDMAP enhances its solution with a wide range of fully customizable services: connection with emergency services, smartphone app for the general public, eLearning material and a dedicated AED hotline are some illustrations.
A solution designed to maximize return on investment
Beyond the services and tools offered by AEDMAP, beyond its ethical dimension, the AEDMAP solution also has a substantial economic interest. Indeed, thanks to AEDMAP, companies and public authorities managing a fleet of defibrillators know in real time their status and can perform the necessary maintenance actions. A feature that ensures the proper functioning of the purchased equipment.
The implementation of the AEDMAP solution is also an asset for companies and public authorities in terms of communication and social engagement.
The French case study
In France, companies and government have understood the public health issue that is cardiac arrest. Since 2011, more than 120 companies have formally joined the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. "The results speak for themselves, welcomes Isabelle Weill, EFHE CEO. The cardiac arrest survival rate has increased from 2.3 to 5.7% between 2008 and 2012. Companies and public authorities have a key role to play in improving citizens' information on lifesaving and developing a defibrillators network. In this context, AEDMAP is a facilitator, an effective partner that enables organizations to act without having to worry about logistics and implementation.”
“Our goal is to ensure that nobody will die because of a malfunctioning defibrillator” says Dr Paul DARDEL, AEDMAP founder.
AEDMAP founded by Dr Paul DARDEL, physician with more than 15 years of practice in emergency medicine is specialized in eHealth solutions.
