New Crypto Wallet's User Base Grows Exponentially From Word Of Mouth

November was a game changer for the new crypto wallet app, Gridlock. After a steady couple of months since its launch in late September, the small startup experienced a 26x growth in users in 1 week in November. Figures showed that the spike in active users was from current users inviting their friends to check it out.

Gridlock has recently announced its upcoming launch of Solana storage, following its huge potential seen over the past year. Initially building their app on the Ethereum blockchain, Solana seemed like the logical next step to take. Gridlock wallet holders can expect secure storage for SOL, but the feature new users are most excited about is the introduction of a private NFT gallery which will support NFTs on both aforementioned blockchains.

But, what separates Gridlock from other crypto wallets? The interest in this wallet stems from the cryptography tech, dubbed Distributed Key Generation. The startup explains how their method of key splitting ensures there are no flaws in security, which other wallets may overlook. The app features list is short at the moment, but the potential uses for this technology could be limitless both in and outside of crypto.

It’s not all good news though, as the sudden spike in growth caused a server crash, leaving some newcomers unable to create a wallet within the app. Gridlock may have wanted the growth, but they were not anticipating such an influx so soon and their servers experienced some major issues. Not letting it slow them down, they quickly resolved the issues and are preparing for the Solana launch once again.
