Dallas’ Frank Branson Earns National Trial Lawyer Honor

CHICAGO – Frank Branson of Dallas’ The Law Offices of Frank L. Branson has been named as the 2007 recipient of the prestigious “Mel Award” from the Melvin Belli Society.

The annual award is presented to an individual attorney who demonstrates exceptional creativity and innovation in the courtroom. Mr. Branson was presented with the award, which is inscribed with the passage “Advocate, teacher, giant in the trial bar,” during the recent 2007 American Association for Justice Annual Convention in Chicago.

The Melvin Belli Society is named for the famed California attorney who is recognized as the “Father of Demonstrative Evidence.” The late Mr. Belli worked in some of the highest-profile cases of the 20th century, including representing Muhammad Ali, Lenny Bruce, Jack Ruby, and many others.

The Belli Society is a made up of the top civil and criminal attorneys from across the country. The group was founded in 1981 to honor Mr. Belli's nearly 50 years of contributing to the law.
