Lourdes graduate named executive director of Graham’s Foundation

Graham’s Foundation (GrahamsFoundation.org ), a locally headquartered non-profit organization that offers practical and emotional support to parents of premature babies throughout the US and Canada, has named Erin McPartland as the foundation’s first full-time Executive Director. McPartland took on the position as of November 1, after serving as Parents of Preemies Day event coordinator and program manager for nearly two years.

“Graham’s Foundation is in a period of rapid growth, and that means we need to evolve,” said Graham’s Foundation President and Founder Nick Hall. “We’re reaching more parents of preemies and forging new relationships with corporations like Pampers and American Greetings. It is imperative that we have someone smart, organized, and experienced like Erin handling day-to-day strategy implementation, and we’re delighted that she has chosen to grow with us.”

McPartland is proud to be part of the first cohort to graduate from Lourdes University’s brand new Masters of Business Administration program. Her education, strong background in business administration, and passion for non-profits are all significant qualities she brings to the table in her role as Executive Director. Prior to joining Graham’s Foundation, she served as the eICU applications coordinator at The Toledo Hospital, director of administrative services at AccessRN, Inc., event coordinator for Chicks For Charity, and interned with Aly Sterling Philanthropy. The culmination of her experience, along with her earlier work with Graham’s Foundation, has enabled her to help drive the foundation’s continuing growth.

“Every day, I’m inspired by the preemie community because of the strength these parents demonstrate and the support they provide each other,” McPartland said. “Seeing the direct impact Graham’s Foundation has on these parents motivates me to want to reach as many moms and dads possible to help them cope with prematurity.”

McPartland also contributes a powerful commitment to the Toledo area. While Graham’s Foundation operates throughout North America, McPartland cited a desire to foster strong local relationships here in Northwest Ohio. “I want to help Toledo and the surrounding area get to know Graham’s Foundation and all of the great support we provide.” she said, “While preemie moms and dads need help all over the world, I want to make sure we are also meeting the needs of the preemie community right here in our own backyard.”

Founded in 2009, Graham’s Foundation assembles and sends care packages designed to meet the physical and emotional needs of parents of premature babies. Additionally, the foundation’s website and Facebook page provide educational resources and a community for parents to share their stories and find support. Founders Nick and Jennifer Hall experienced the rollercoaster ride of being parents in the NICU, losing their son Graham after 45 days, and their daughter Reece’s four-month stay.
