Berlin 15th of November, 2021 - Exakt Health, the physiotherapy app for sport injuries, announced today its launch in 3 new languages: German, Spanish and French. Founded by two Ex-N26 employees, Lucia Payo (CTO) and Philip Billaudelle (CEO), Exakt Health offers easy access to personalised sports injury treatment. It has been certified as a European medical device and is now publicly available for users in the EU and UK.
“Good patient education means that users can access important medical information in their native language”, says Philip Billaudelle, CEO of Exakt Health. “We’ve just made one more important step of making physiotherapy accessible to everyone, everywhere by launching our solution in German, French and Spanish. ”
Exakt Health offers a free mobile app that provides users with a customised therapy plan. Starting with typical running injuries such as an Achilles injury, the app makes it easy for users to take charge of their own recovery: the app suggests daily exercises and injury ressources based on the latest medical evidence. The treatment plan adjusts its recommendations considering the user’s feedback.
Certificatied under the European Medical Device Directive, Exakt Health offers its app as a software-as-a-Medical Device across the EU and the UK. It bears testament to the high qualitative and medical standards Exakt Health is following and sets itself for its product.
Since the first launch of the App in August 2021, more than 1,500 users have used the application to self-treat their sports injuries. With the launch in German, Spanish and French, Exakt Health plans to rapidly increase its adoption across Europe over the coming months. In a next step Exakt Health will allow users to consult a physiotherapist in the App via a tele-consultation to review their injury and therapy plan.
