Radolfzell, Germany, December 5th 2012: Since 5 years the cr.appliance team with its current staff and portfolio counsels pharmaceutical companies in drug development, especially in the early stages (preclinical / clinical interface). As provider for the pharmaceutical industry cr.appliance is working together with its clients since 2003. Karen Grave-Hermann, Master of Science (MSc) in „Clinical Development“ and certified "study nurse", founded and leaded the company in the first phase. In December 2007 Dr. Robert Hermann joined the team and took over the position of the Managing Director. At the same time the portfolio of cr.appliance was focused on counseling in drug development. These changes gave Robert Hermann the opportunity to bring his long-time experiences as scientist, clinician and manager in the pharmaceutical industry to the team.

Dr. Robert Hermann is a board-certified medical specialist in anaesthesiology and clinical pharmacology. He has over 30 years of professional experience as a clinician, scientist, medical expert, and clinical developer and manager in the pharmaceutical industry. Robert Hermann has worked for over 8 years as a research associate and instructor in anaesthesiology, intensive care, emergency medicine and pain therapy, and 17 years as a clinical developer and manager in the pharmaceutical industry.

For 5 years the cr.appliance team is successfully focused on the counseling of pharmaceutical companies and biotec enterprises in drug development and registration of medicines in Europe as well as in non-European countries like the US. The core competence of cr.appliance is the creation and evaluation of scientific and strategic development concepts in drug development. The clients particularly value cr.appliance’s specific expertise in the fields of human pharmacology, experimental medicine, early clinical development through to “proof of concept” and the important preclinical/clinical interface. The advice and services are sought on a wide range of issues and challenges in early clinical development, including support and planning for biopharmaceutical development projects, providing additional external expertise during the submission and licensing process, and on life cycle management issues of established products.
