On the upswing: NIIT Technologies sets new annual record
International software company reports financial figures for 2006/2007The software company NIIT Technologies, headquartered in India, has achieved a new business record for the fiscal year 2006/2007: the international enterprise has increased its turnover by 46 percent. Innovative IT-solutions have produced a worldwide turnover of approximately $204 million. About half the turnover has been generated by the European subsidiaries of NIIT.
After tax profits for the fiscal year closed on March 31, 2007 have increased by 95 percent. An impressive 1000 new staff have been recruited. Thus, NIIT Technologies employs a global staff of approximately 4500.
These annual growth figures further underpin NIIT Technologies’ position among the top 20 employers (Dataquest-IDC Best Employer Survey 2006).
The NIIT Group has further strengthened its insurance capability through the acquisition of the commercial insurance specialist ROOM Solutions in 2006, which is also reflected in the positive company results.
“The European subsidiaries have significantly contributed to the positive company results: an impressive 50% of the revenue”, says Pramod Srivastava.
