Spunbond nonwovens refer to the porous flat sheets and textures like materials, which is produced by using liquid plastic, plastic films or, long filaments of around 15-35 micrometer diameter limited together by hot-press. This plastic or spun filaments are collected on a conveyor belt in the form of a web and then bonded to make spunbond nonwoven fabric. These are not the same when compared to other fibers, as they are not made by sewing or weaving; and they need no transformation of strands into yarn.

Schouw & Co. invested USD 40 million to construct two production lines of nonwovens in Malaysia and the U.S. in September 2020, which will increase the capacity of the company’s Fibertex Nonwovens business by 10%.

Kimberly-Clark donated USD 500,000 to support infectious disease training for cleaning professionals on the front lines of COVID-19.
