Semantic Visions Announces the Release of SV Search 2.5

Semantic Visions, a software-based actionable analytics firm based in Prague and London, announces the release of Semantic Visions Search (SV Search) version 2.5. Upgrades to our military-grade SaaS search tool for professional analysts, journalists, and risk mitigation specialists combines new features and functionalities to make online threat detection and digital trend analysis faster and safer.

Built by analysts, for analysts, SV Search uses semantic categories (not just keywords) to mine the web, interpret meaning, and help identify threats. By collecting and analyzing 90% of the world’s online news content from more than 900,000 publicly available news sources in 12 major world languages, SV Search gives users instant and unparalleled visibility of the threat ecosystem, helping to uncover previously-hidden insights.

Two new features are part of the SV Search 2.5 release.

The first is Smart Summaries. Using our advanced AI system, SV Search users can access a synopsis of any article or document discovered and returned during a query. Summaries are then displayed directly in the SV Search dashboard, eliminating the need to visit the URL source. Not only does this save reading time, but for analysts keen to avoid nefarious URLs, Smart Summaries ensure that users’ engagement with searched content remains private.

The second new feature is called StarTree Studio. SV Search leverages the power of semantic categories – topics that tie together pieces of information across languages. With StartTree Studio, semantic categories discovered during a search query are plotted onto a “topic map,” which displays results in a clear and structured visualisation, helping analysts identify trends and new topics of online inquiry.

Both of these new features are accessible via a new navigation bar on the left-hand side of the SV Search dashboard.
