Collaboration in research, technology transfer and practice

With the signing of the co-operation agreement, Jörg Müller-Kindt, founder and manager of NetworkedAssets and the President of the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences, Hans Georg Helmstädten, have laid the foundation for close collaboration in research, technology transfer and practice-oriented promotion of education.

In co-operation with Prof. Dr. Reiner Creutzburg from the Computer Sciences and Media department, along with Matthias Richter of FHB Transfer, joint projects have also been planned in research and development with other businesses.

The focal points of the collaboration are, first and foremost, application-oriented research and development, a collaboration that is oriented to the needs of the market, as well as the exchange of ideas between students and employees.

NetworkedAssets already employs work placement students who are writing their Masters thesis within the framework of the collaboration.

NetworkedAssets GmbH
NetworkedAssets GmbH develops software for customers for the supervision and control of technical processes in telecommunications and industry on commercial as well as Open Source platforms. The company currently employs 26 members of staff in Germany and Poland. In addition to the actual software architecture and software development, NetworkedAssets supports its customers in the optimal organisation of software production and maintenance.

FHB
The Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences (FHB), founded in 1992, is a modern campus university based in Brandenburg an der Havel, and is among the twelve universities of applied science most intensively focussed on research. At present, around 3,000 students are supervised by 63 professors. The study programme of the university spans the subject areas of Computer Sciences and Media, Engineering as well as Economy – and an increasing number of these have an extra-occupational format.
FHB especially promotes the possibility of studying without the Abitur qualification [post-secondary education qualification equivalent to A-level]. All study programmes are offered with internationally-recognised Bachelor and Masters Degrees.

FHB Transfer
FHB Transfer is the central port of call and service point for the collaboration between businesses and universities of applied research and development. With more than 100 scientists as well as modern development laboratories, the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences supports businesses in finding solutions for technical and economic issues, and in this way contributes towards the strengthening of the region and its innovative capability.
