Employees of Hansen Plastics Corporation Donate Nearly $1,000 To Kane Senior Council During Milestone Company Celebration
According to our Purpose Statement, “We believe we can impact society with selfless service to others,” said Debbie Cummins, Office Manager at Hansen Plastics. "Our purpose statement is not just words on a wall, but these values are regularly practiced and embedded in the fabric of our company."
Hansen Plastics first learned about KSC back in February after hearing a news story about how the pandemic was affecting the Senior Population. People were creating Valentine's Cards to send to local seniors. The employee owners at Hansen Plastics sent Valentines to Meals on Wheels participants in Elgin through Kane Senior Council. After receiving such positive feedback, they wanted to do more.
"We love partnering with organizations who want to give in such a compassionate way", said Marylin Krolak, Executive Director of Kane Senior Council. "Hansen Plastics is a valuable partner, supporting the seniors in Kane County.”
Cummins added, "When planning Hansen Plastics’ 50th Anniversary, we knew that within some part of the celebration there must be an element of giving back to the town and community Hansen Plastics has called home for 50 years. It just made sense that the funds raised go back to those who are the most in need at KSC.”
