EnOcean expands and strengthens Management Team
EnOcean, the leading provider of the award-winning, patented, energy-harvesting wireless sensors today announced the appointment of Graham Martin as Vice President Strategic Alliances. Graham is responsible for integrating technology and market strategy for the rapidly growing EnOcean Alliance community.Graham Martin brings 25 years experience as an executive and visionary in the wireless semiconductor and electronics industry. He joins EnOcean from Chipcon, a Norwegian low power RF IC company recently purchased by Texas Instruments, where he was responsible for Business Development and the promotion of standards and Alliances such as IEEE 802.15.4 & ZigBee. In addition, Graham served as President of stack provider Figure8Wireless in San Diego and as Vice Chairman & Board Director of the ZigBee Alliance.
“EnOcean has experienced tremendous growth, we have more than 50 OEMs shipping and installing products based upon EnOcean technology. This necessitated the expansion of our management team.” explains Markus Brehler, CEO & Founder. Commenting on joining EnOcean, Graham said “Having spent years analyzing the wireless sensor market, I became keenly aware that the problem of powering the anticipated millions of nodes presented a major obstacle that held back widespread adoption. I’m convinced that EnOcean’s true wireless technology is the optimal solution."
EnOcean manufactures and markets world-leading energy harvesting technology, sensors, and RF (radio frequency) communication in a single solution for building and home automation, lighting, industrial, automated meter reading and environmental applications. At its facilities in Germany and the USA, EnOcean currently employs over 35 people to work on components and radio modules used worldwide in the system solutions of well-known product manufacturers. A total of over 300,000 radio components are currently in use.
