Well Known Interventionist Ken Seeley Throws His Hat in the Sober Living Ring

Palm Springs, CA, October 03, 2012 -- Ken Seeley has always prided himself in being one of the most well-respected interventionists in the country, yet somehow that success alone just wasn’t enough.

Seeley aspired to ensure that those people he helped get into treatment and many others like them, would not simply be left on their own after leaving an inpatient setting.

Seeley decided that he would take the same themes and principals that he believes in and emphasizes in his intervention company, Intervention 911, and translate them into post-treatment transitional living, and Ken Seeley Communities was born.

KSC properties are transitional living settings, more commonly known as sober living homes. Seeley purchased and renovated two boutique properties in Palm Springs, Calif., and converted them to sober living hotels. Services at KSC are also atypically extensive, offering life skills coaching, ongoing care management, assistance with job searches or continuing education goals, nutrition and fitness counseling and more.

Sober living itself is not a new concept, but having one organization be able to place you in treatment and then help you continue in your recovery is not commonly found. Usually, interventionists do not have much interaction with an addict after they arrive at a treatment center.

“I wanted to be able to provide a more constant continuum of care for these addicts from intervention through independence,” said Seeley. “I was frustrated at the disconnect that was common and wanted to do something that will hopefully influence the entire addiction field.”
