Villingen-Schwenningen/Stuttgart - viimagic GmbH, a leading manufacturer of 2/3” HDTV CMOS sensors, showcases its feature-rich global shutter HDTV sensor series 922x. The real time HDR-demo with 4x sampling operates with a dynamic range of more than 120 dB. The 2 Megapixel sensors exhibit uncompromised full 1080p HD even under low-light conditions at frame rates up to 240 fps. With DDS (correlated Digital Double Sampling) processing, frame rates up to 120 fps are achievable.
With the latest generation, viimagic realized HDR operation modes not only in Rolling Shutter but also in the CMOS Global Shutter sensors. They are ideal for applications in industrial image processing, automation, process control, traffic management systems and measurement tasks in research and development that require reliable and saturation-free image recordings in challenging and uncontrollable lighting conditions.

The CMOS devices incorporate a fully integrated high-speed control unit that is programmable via SPI interface. This concept offers equipment manufacturers increased flexibility, easy control and implementation. It allows for faster system integration time as well as reduced BOM cost for peripheral components compared to traditional designs.
Viimagic’s 922x sensors offer up to 16 configurable LVDS output channels with a maximum data rate of 1.2 Gbit/sec each.
