Onyx Government Services Celebrates 15th Anniversary of Government Systems Integration Success

Onyx Government Services today announces its 15th anniversary of interpreting, managing, and protecting mission-critical systems and data for the US Federal government and Department of Defense (DoD). The veteran-owned small business achieved much success while keeping pace with the fast-moving, emerging-technology field. In the last year, Onyx GS never wavered in continuously serving clients during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company exhibited extraordinary perseverance in a trying, but successful time highlighted by key contract wins, solid business growth, and a firm commitment to provide welcomed community support.

Onyx GS scored a number of valuable contract wins in 2020 – 2021; the General Services Administration (GSA); Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA); Department of Energy (DOE); Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA); US Navy Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) and SeaPort-NxG; US Army Program Executive Office – Enterprise Information Systems (PEO-EIS); and a 5-year extension of a contract with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).

During the difficult period of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, Onyx GS stayed the course, providing uninterrupted support to clients. The company’s mission was officially deemed critical to maintaining continuity of operations in the Federal government.

Despite the challenge of serving clients under demanding conditions, as well as keeping employees safe, Ken Jensen and his staff always found the time to make helping others a priority. During the pandemic, the company made substantial donations to charitable organizations that were able to deliver almost-immediate assistance to those in critical need.

Onyx GS is a member of the elite “Champions” level of giving at Food for Others, a Fairfax, VA-based food bank, donating time, money, and resources. The company made a sizable donation to The Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a nonprofit dedicated to providing a “place like home” free of charge to children with rare and serious diseases. Another substantial donation went to Toys for Tots, distributing toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them Christmas gifts.

Through the years, Onyx GS has supported Hopecam, with the mission of connecting children with cancer to their classmates, along with a longtime commitment to helping fellow veterans in the workforce.
