Virtual Edge Institute Announces Last Chance for First Round of Applications for the VEI Scholarship Program
Scholarship applications for Digital Event Strategist certification by Virtual Edge Institute are being accepted now. Scholarship awards will be granted on September 19, 2012.PLEASANTON, CA-CHICAGO, IL September 11, 2012 — Virtual Edge Institute (VEI), an organization dedicated to advancing the development and adoption of virtual event and meeting technology has been accepting applications for the Digital Event Strategist (DES) certification program -- the only certification of its kind – for the past several months. The DES certification is specifically designed to help develop the talent that organizations need to effectively engage audiences using online events. Today VEI announced that meeting professionals have until the September 17, 2012 deadline to apply for the first round of the Freeman/bXb Online scholarship awards for the DES certification. Freeman and bXb Online committed a total of $150,000 in support of the certification program and related Virtual Edge Summit education. The financial commitment will be used to sponsor professionals in pursuit of advanced credentials in this discipline. All DES certification applications will be reviewed by a designated selection committee and scholarships will be awarded and announced on September 19, 2012.
