Press release from: arvato systems

arvato Systems' VPMS integrates with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 Software

Cologne/Gütersloh -- arvato Systems announces a seamless integration with Adobe® Premiere® Pro CS6 software for its VPMS media asset management system. The easy-to-use workflow will be presented at the 2012 IBC in Amsterdam.

With the combination of arvato Systems' VPMS (Video Production Management System) and Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, customers will benefit from the open architecture and the combination of high-res and low-res tools to simplify production, reduce costs and provide media and metadata access to a variety of users.

With the web-based VPMS MediaCenter, users browse, select, and pre-edit media assets. In addition to many other options, the VPMS MediaCenter is used for metadata enrichment, logging, and initiation and control of high-res production workflows.

The open architecture of VPMS integrates with external systems so that users can easily drop a media selection into Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, which can also be connected to the central storage. The shot selection is immediately available in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. After editing in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 the final sequence is published to VPMS by using the custom panel integration with the VPMS check-in client. The high-res asset is conformed in the backend by Adobe Media Encoder CS6, which automates the process of creating multiple encoded versions of source files, Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 sequences, and Adobe After Effects® compositions. At the same time a low-res proxy is generated to give VPMS users access to the final sequence with low-res video/audio.

This integration is also available for arvato Systems' latest media asset management solution, "Avamio", and now broadcasters, post production houses and other media producing organizations can take advantage of the new collaboration between arvato Systems and Adobe.

More information about VPMS can be found at http://s4m.arvato-systems.de/com/solutions/digital-media-management/vpms.html

The new workflow will be presented at the IBC 2012 in Amsterdam In booth 3.B26.
