ExactCODE Announces Release of OCRkit 1.12

Berlin, Germany (8/23/2012)- ExactCODE GMBH releases the next update of OCRkit, a quality OCR solution for Mac from developer René Rebe. The update features a new content aware page de-skew option, as well as improved PDF compression and performance. The update also features improved multi core performance and stability.

OCRkit is a simple, easy to use Mac application that allows the user to convert any PDF or graphic files into searchable PDF, RTF, HTML, and TXT files, quickly and easily. This OCR engine features a simple user interface which allows the user drag and drop capability for quick and easy conversions. OCRkit is extremely fast which allows for quick conversions of larger, multi-page documents. OCRkit has 8 input formats and 4 output formats as well as auto rotation, which allows the user to scan documents in any order. OCRkit also comes with AppleScript support for batch conversions.

What's new in version 1.12? The new update features content aware page de-skew, which guarantees that the document comes out organized and professional. The update also uses improved multi-Core performance which makes the OCR engine even faster. Improved PDF compression, stability, usability, and accuracy are also new in version 1.12.
