Swiss fintech wants to make a better crypto world
Green mining - using only green power, easy trading and investing, and the ability to hedge against price losses are all intended to increase the appeal of cryptocurrencies.Swiss financial technology company Swiss UniCryp AG just gave the go-ahead for a new round of funding, which is expected to raise a total of more than €50 million in various stages by the middle of next year.
The company, which has been active in the market as a developer of automated trading systems for institutional and professional investors and traders, has been observing the changes and innovations in the digital financial markets for a long time, as CEO Kai Schwab explained at the kick-off.
"The crypto market has endless potential and can reach many times its volume if more attention is paid to the needs of classically oriented investors.
Here, in addition to the simplicity of the platform, safe investment options and an important point, sustainability are required," said the 43-year-old native of Germany about the goals of the funding campaign.
"We want to lead the way with a lighthouse project and offer a better way into the crypto world. With a mining farm powered exclusively by zero-emission energy, a platform that is simple and intuitive to use, and secure investment products, we want to offer a bridge between the classic financial markets and the new possibilities of the blockchain."
What is new about this funding round is that investors have several options to invest in the project.
Starting with a crowdfunding campaign, in which 10% of the raised capital goes to the foundation of professional soccer player Toni Kroos, over fixed-interest loan models and share sales, to the STO (Security Token Offer - a kind of digital security with dividend payment) planned for early 2022, this financing round offers several options at once and thus appeals to several investor groups at once.
The crowdfunding campaign on Startnext is limited until August 15, 2021; the share sale expires at the end of 2021.
