XTM Cloud 12.8 - The Symphony Release. Four movements in the right direction

XTM Cloud 12.8, the Symphony Release, comes with major enhancements in key areas: workflow and project management, Natural Language Processing (NLP) Artificial Intelligence, translation, Machine Translation (MT) and connectivity. The release delivers increased choice and control for all players in the localization orchestra.

Selectivity
The latest release helps Project Managers filter out unnecessary noise and focus on what matters. The highlights include:
- Enhanced Filter templates that enable users to exclude untranslatable content in Excel and MultiExcel files through regular expressions. All users have intuitive tools to easily create the most complex file configurations.
- The newly introduced Weighted Word Count (WWC) that indicates the amount of work required to finish a project. As a result, Project Managers can make more data-driven decisions about work allocation and timelines while Linguists can more quickly estimate the effort required to complete a task.

Productivity
Working faster and managing change more effectively is the focus of the Productivity movement and can be achieved through:
- New batch operations in the workflow. Project Managers are able to bulk update multiple variables such as projects’ due dates, workflow start or finish dates and PM assignments.
- Access to AI-enhanced TM delivered by XTM and SYSTRAN. The fantastic new feature yields high quality MT output in an instant by using mid level fuzzy matches from the translation memory.

Connectivity
XTM Cloud 12.8 plays nicely with best in class CMS and marketing automation software. This version sees several enhancements to existing connectors and a new connector for Kentico Kontent. The highlights include:
- XTM Connect for Kentico Kontent: The new connector for Kentico Kontent enables seamless sharing of multilingual content across all digital touchpoints
- XTM Connect for Git: Smoother continuous project updates as archived projects do not disrupt the continuous workflow
- XTM Connect for Marketo Engage: The Marketo connector has been updated to work with the most recent Engage product
- XTM Connect for Adobe Experience Manager: Seamless content exchanges between AEM and XTM Cloud even if AEM needs to restarted
- Five new REST API methods for increased automation and connectivity with third party systems

Intelligent Simplicity
With each release we choose simple over complex and this release is no exception. We pursue a path of Intelligent Simplicity by delivering:
- New fuzzy match calculation method based on Weighted Token Levenshtein. The outcome is more accurate metrics, improved TM leverage, and as a result, greater cost savings.
- Flexible whitespace settings give you the choice of keeping or removing whitespace characters during TM import. Teams using different authoring tools with sometimes conflicting whitespace rules will find this option very useful.
