1. Please tell us a little about your journey in the B2B sector.
My journey in the B2B sector has been intriguing, and it began when I started working with various B2B portals in India. During that time, I met several manufacturers, exporters, and buyers. In every encounter, I used to discover some new issue they would be facing.
I finally decided to interact with some of the Indian manufacturers and understand their problems and requirements at length. Much to my disbelief, the process was not as smooth, rapid, and profitable as one would imagine. And I think maybe subconsciously but it was around that time I had already made a decision. The decision to kick start my very own and a new journey in this field.
2. What inspired you to enter such a competitive field?
Well, as I said, I saw there were so many problems that could be resolved. And I wanted to create a one-stop solution for all those problems. I believe, the drive to remove the hurdles faced by people in the B2B supply chain was one of the factors that motivated me the most.
In India, the manufacturers have to go through a plethora of brokers, if you will, to export their products. This is neither cost-efficient nor profitable by any means. Many manufactures don’t understand the process and significance of loan, different stages that are involved in exportation and shipping, letter of credit, and more. In a nutshell, this gap was my inspiration.
3. What makes Global Trade Plaza different from its competitors?
Not just a B2B trading platform, we aim at making Global Trade Plaza much more and beyond. We are looking forward to providing extensive services that entail every step of the process.
Let’s say, a leather goods manufacturer wants to export its products to a foreign country. Now the manufacturer may have leads but how to satisfy the requirements of those buyers in a way that it’d be beneficial for the manufacturer as well is the real deal. B2B portals do not help manufactures with such hindrances but we at Global Trade Plaza want to change this.
Our goal is to create a platform that would educate the manufactures and suppliers with shipping and logistic details, funding and finance-related details, market insights, and much more. In the near future, we will also provide details about buyer credits so that the exporter or supplier can determine whether the buyer is genuine or not. This information and details are of incredible significance and are currently not being offered by any other B2B portal.
4. How would you define the culture of your company?
I believe it is a place where one can grow and excel, and not just in the terms of career but also in terms of personality. We have people from different fields working together and supporting each other. We at Global Trade Plaza function as a family.
5. What are the risks you see in this field and how do you plan to face them?
There are so many giants in the B2B sector- India Mart, Exporters India, Trade India, and many more. They obviously have a large user base, so it is not going to be a cakewalk for us. But then, there are risks in almost everything we do. To penetrate the market when there are already so many companies present requires dedication, consistent efforts and teamwork. And we are ready to give it all.
6. What are the challenges you faced while establishing your company and how you overcame them?
Our company started gaining traction recently. And we all are well aware of what else arrived recently- Covid-19. The pandemic came with so many challenges and unprecedented events. We had to find a reliable tech partner, switch to work from home, and ensure proper management.
7. What are the challenges you still face as a founder of a B2B portal?
Well, as I discussed, there are several trading platforms in India and to gain popularity, user-base, and loyal customers in such an environment are going to take time. But we have prepared ourselves for all such challenges and are striving hard to make a difference.
8. What kind of a B2B marketplace do you aim at creating?
Our vision is to create a one-stop solution for every B2B company that wants to sell its goods and services in or out of the country. We aim at providing every little detail and help that could be valuable to suppliers or buyers. Global Trade Plaza wants to establish an online B2B marketplace that will change the course of how B2B transactions are conducted throughout the supply chain, and for the better.
9. Where do you see Global Trade Plaza in the next five years?
A significant increase in our user base with 2 million active users on our platform. A platform that could cater to every requirement of the exporters including lead generation, logistic partners, buyer credits, verification reports, industry insights, and more.
10. What motivates your customers to choose Global Trade Plaza?

We will focus on commodities and relevant buyers. The USA is the largest trading partner of India and our plan entails covering the US market as much as we can.
