Six Sigma Foundation comes up with innovative lean six sigma standards
Six Sigma Foundation (SSF) : Driving Process Excellence: SSF comes up with innovative lean six sigma standards
#Education #Quality #Lean #SixSigma #Certifications
Six Sigma Foundation has come up with what they say are the most innovative Lean Six Sigma Certification and Accreditation Standards and Guidelines, check out the complete story to find out.
Just why are Six Sigma Foundation’s Lean Six Sigma Certification and Accreditation Standards being called highly innovative?
In the Lean Six Sigma community has no central body for Accreditation and there are number of standards and bodies which provide are guidelines and standards against which any institute may get accredited for training requirements and curriculum but not exams. The candidates looking to get certified in Lean Six Sigma thus need to follow a separate process at the institute which trained them and the accreditation provider. What this very often results in, is a “training only certificate” issued by the training institute and typically the cost of exam is set quite high by the accreditation body which drives away worthy candidates from a proper evaluation. While there are advantages to this approach, it is not without its major drawback of disjoint training and evaluation plus higher costs.
The innovation behind Six Sigma Foundation’s approach tackles this challenge by setting out clear and precise examination and evaluation guidelines, each partner institute or rather an Accredited Training Institute (ATI) is carefully audited along these exam guidelines and Six Sigma Foundation (www.sixsigmafoundation.org) (SSF) makes sure that the examination mechanism of the ATI is fit to evaluate and certify a candidate.
Some other Key Features of Six Sigma Foundation’s Lean Six Sigma Certification and Accreditation Guidelines:
• The Lean Six Sigma Certification Standards (Bodies of Knowledge) by Six Sigma Foundation are available for the following Levels of Lean Six Sigma:
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
- Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification
• The Lean Six Sigma Certification Bodies of Knowledge by Six Sigma Foundation are made available as composite BOK’s which encapsulate and cover all major aspects of the six sigma certification process from Curriculum to Training-requirements to Examination and Evaluation guidelines and are available as free-downloads for any student or interested institute.
• The Examination process is mandated to be an online exam that an institute or ATI must process without manual intervention with the results made available to students as soon as they finish the MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) type exam and any project evaluation.
• Six Sigma Foundation innovations do not just stop at examination process, but extend further by providing the most advanced curriculum standard as yet by any accreditation body by including topics which are clearly next gen and ready to meet the challenges of the industry for 2020 and beyond.
• Six Sigma Foundation Bodies of Knowledge for Lean Six Sigma also embrace best practices from some other standards and adapt these into the Lean Six Sigma curriculum; the details can be had from the respective bodies of knowledge via the SSF website.
