The world meets at SLM Solutions in Luebeck, Germany

SLM Solutions GmbH, manufacturer and pioneer of additive manufacturing systems in the sector of Selective Laser Melting (SLM), Vacuum Casting and Metal Part Casting invited its worldwide sales representatives to the distributor meeting in Luebeck. The company informed about the company structure as well as about the latest developments and simultaneously expanded the worldwide network of representatives.
The event has tradition. It is the fifth time that the distributor meeting took place in the last 10 years, but the first time after having changed the name from MTT Technologies to SLM Solutions. The Team around Stefan Ritt, Sales Manager from SLM Solutions, welcomed 22 participants coming from 17 different nations. For the distributors no way was too long. They came by car from Romania and by plane from Japan to discuss the latest developments of the worldwide market.

”We use the change of thoughts to integrate common experiences in marketing strategies and new products“, says H.-J. Ihde, President and CEO of SLM Solutions. During the week the latest developments in systems technology were presented. Beyond this, new contracts were signed by distributors coming from Russia, Israel, Great Britain and Sweden.

With regard to contents, workshops concerning latest SLM-Systems as SLM 280HL and actual trends in Rapid Manufacturing of Vacuum and Metal Part Casting dominated. Next to a close seminar- and conference program, enough time left for an intercultural exchange and joint activities as a competition in cart racing, a tournament in bowling and a guided city tour through Lübeck as the protected world cultural heritage of the UNESCO and City of Science 2012.
