CWC Group, Petrobras, Shell and Gazprom Global LNG to Host the 8th Annual LNG Awards, November 2012, Barcelona

The LNG Awards, now in their 8th year, will be presented at the World LNG Summit and Awards Gala Dinner in Barcelona, hosted by the CWC Group, Petrobras, Shell and Gazprom Global LNG on 28 November 2012.

Recognising and celebrating excellence in the LNG industry, this year sees the presentation of three awards: The coveted CWC/ WGI LNG Award 2012, the LNG Technological Innovation Award 2012 and the LNG Executive of 2012 Award. Last year, Shell, Excelerate Energy and Martin Houston from BG Group won these prestigious awards respectively.

The desirable CWC/ WGI LNG Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry has also been previously won by RasGas Company Limited, GDF Suez, BG Group, Chevron, Qatar Petroleum and Cheniere LNG.

2012 Award Categories and Criteria:

1. CWC / WGI Annual LNG Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry in 2012
The Annual LNG Award is awarded to a company from the LNG value chain that has excelled themselves in the previous 12 months in one of the categories of commercial innovation, activities or knowledge.

2. LNG Technological Innovation Award
The LNG Technological Innovation Award will be awarded to a company that, through technological improvement or change, has made a fundamental change in the production, transportation or regasification of LNG.

3. LNG Executive of 2012
The LNG Executive of the Year 2012 Award will be awarded to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the development and future of the LNG industry in the past year through either commercial or technical innovation or the development of knowledge and learning in his or her organisation.
