PET/CT Center of Richardson Brings Exclusive Enhanced Bone Scans to North Texas

Richardson, TX – June 25, 2007 – The PET/CT Center of Richardson, located at 399 Melrose in Richardson, TX, has become the only facility in North Texas to offer PET (Positron Emission Tomography) bone scanning as part of their imaging services. PET bone scans produce superior, more detailed images and offer patients shorter scan times than traditional bone scan procedures performed with a nuclear camera.

PET bone scans are generally indicated when seeking cancers that may metastasize to the bone. Prostate and breast cancers are two common types of cancer where this may occur. With its enhanced image quality, PET bone scans allow doctors to see results more clearly.
