Lonnie Barish of New America Power Brokers Deal that Procures 100% Green Energy for Post Brothers’ $52 Million Rittenhouse Hill Project

New Germantown Development to be 100% Wind Power Certified

Philadelphia, PA — When a 470,000-square-foot, multi-family complex, under redevelopment by Post Brothers in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, is completed in early 2014, they will be a 100% Green Power-Wind certified user of energy.

Using green power helps reduce the environmental impacts of electricity use and supports the development of new renewable generation capacity nationwide. Usage amounts reflect U.S. operations only and are sourced from U.S.-based green power resources.

“We contacted several companies about our desire to use 100 percent clean energy for this project, but New America Power was the only one that could clearly and precisely explain what all of our options were,” said Post Brothers’ Mike Pestronk. “They also offered us the best value for their services.”

In addition to 624 apartments, the complex will have a two-acre green roof with an infinity pool, an area for dog runs, outdoor dining and barbecue areas, private event space, meditation gardens and a playing field. It will also have more than 15,000 square feet of interior retail space, and a gym. A trail will connect the property to Wissahickon Gorge in Fairmount Park.
