Religion In America Is Not As You Might Think It Is
Religion in the United States often takes center stage in the news and in various media outlets. However, what some might want watchers to think is different than reality. In fact, there is a documented shift that already happened. Between 2007 and 2014, the number of religiously unaffiliated people went up from 16% to 23%.If you want to be aware of how religion really is represented in USA, here are some interesting facts to be aware of, thanks to the research done by:
https://dzhingarov.com/
Protestants Are No Longer The Majority
The number of Christians in the US is going down. This includes Protestants. The history of the country is filled with Protestant majority. However, even from 2014 the majority is gone with just 46.5% of citizens being Protestants. This is lower than the 51.3% we saw in 2007.
People Changing Religion Is Common
A surprising 42% of adults in the US switched religion. The number might seem high but it does include switching between the Protestant traditions. However, even if we do consider Protestantism as just one group, 34% of US adults now have a different religion than the religion they were born into.
1 In 5 US Citizens Share Their Faith On The Internet Every Week
Almost the same number can be seen when looking at the number of Americans that listen to religious radio shows, listen to music from the Christian rock genre, or watch TV programs with a religious content.
Politics Influences Catholics’ Climate Change Views
Before the encyclical that Pope Francis published regarding the environment, Catholics in the US believed roughly the same thing that Americans overall thought about climate change. We thus saw that 60% of Catholic Democrats believed that humans caused global warming. They also thought that the problem is serious. However, just 25% of the Catholic Republicans had the same belief.
The Support For Same-Sex Marriage Is Growing
One thing that some people do not know is that the Supreme Court decided that same-sex marriage is legal all across the country. At the same time, a poll from 2015 showed that 55% of US citizens were in favor of such a marriage. This is actually an increase of 20% when compared to the past decade.
When looking at the religious groups, the least supportive are the white evangelical Protestants, with a support of just 24%. Those that do not have religious affiliation support the marriage of same-sex couples in a large number, 82%.
Discrimination Versus Religious Freedom
In 2014, there was a poll that showed the divide of Americans when it came to the right of wedding-related businesses to refuse couples of the same sex with religious reasons being mentioned. 47% of survey responders declared that these businesses should be allowed to refuse offering service while 49% declared that they should not be allowed to do this due to religious reasons.
Views On Abortion Remain The Same
The last thing to be highlighted is that in the past over 20 years, the views of Americans in regards to abortion remained almost the same. Most US citizens, with a percentage of 55%, believe abortion needs to be legal in most or all cases. At the same time, 40% think that it should not be legal in most or all cases.

The Vatican Publishes Weekly "Lord's Day Reflections" to be Read on Sundays
Every week, the Vatican prepares special readings for Sunday designed to help deepen the faith of the Catholic community. These special Sunday readings are called "Lord's Day Reflections." Once again, the public is being manipulated into embracing the Sunday rest agenda. The Vatican decrees Sunday as the Lord's Day, and the world follows. However, saying that Sunday is the Lord's Day is simply not true. Yet this lie has been…

"The Antichrist," written by David Lackey, was the featured article in the Signs of the Times for March 2023. Despite the fact that the article "The Antichrist" contained a total of 2,167 words, it is quite remarkable that the words "Papacy," "pope," "Rome," "Vatican," or "Catholic" don't appear anywhere in this essay. Instead, the current editors and writers at the Signs of the Times are telling us that the Antichrist…
Ecumenism Will Pave the Way for the Mark of the Beast Crisis
Ecumenism has no place in Adventism. When church leaders attend these interfaith ceremonies designed to unite the churches, exalt Sunday worship, promote spiritualism, reject biblical truth, and unite us under one head, Rome, we must recognize that our participation means we are sanctioning their efforts and thus demonstrating our support. This is a scandal for our people as well as all other religions, and it has serious consequences. Notice how…
Our Love for Heresy has Led Us to the Cathedral of Trent (Council of Trent) to S …
On October 10, 2021, Seventh-day Adventists joined an ecumenical event at the Cathedral of Trent, the same Roman Catholic building where the Council of Trent was held. The Council of Trent (1545-1563) was the official Roman Catholic response to the Protestant Reformation. This council affirmed the supremacy of the papacy, condemned the Protestant Reformers, revitalized the Inquisition, maintained tradition above Scripture and placed the Bible on a list of forbidden…
