BMW North Scottsdale Celebrates Four Engine of the Year Awards for 2012
Scottsdale, AZ July 3, 2012 - BMW North Scottsdale is proud to announce that the BMW Group was recognized for exceptional engine performance and design at the recent 2012 International Engine of the Year Awards held in Stuttgart, Germany. Four diverse engines were named Best in Class by the internationally renowned design competition.BMW continues to be one of the most awarded automobile manufacturers in the Engine of the Year Awards after earning four new titles this year. Two four-cylinder engines, a straight-six engine, and an eight cylinder engine all beat out the rest in their class.
The BMW four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine from the 2012 BMW 328i; the straight-six engine with M TwinPower Turbo from the BMW 1 Series M Coupe; and the powerful V-8 engine from the BMW M3 were all awarded Best in Class. The decision was made by an international panel of judges comprised of 76 motoring journalists from 36 countries across the world. Each engine was judged on performance and design.
