Wine industry experts from across the Americas to meet, debate sustainability in practice
The conference will include a day of workshops, followed by two conference days on Zoom with over 60 speakers. Sessions will focus on the key issues, and the practical implementation of sustainability with some of the leading producers, distributors, importers, retailers and many others across the wine industry. Sessions are PowerPoint free and are discussion based with speakers including senior executives from Ridge Vineyards, Jackson Family Wines, Fetzer, Treasury Wine Estates, Santa Rita Estates, Bodega Argento, Chakana Wines, Matthiasson Family Vineyards, Frog’s Leap, Grupo Penflor and many others. Timely topics will include: chemicals vs organics, circular wineries, tackling disease risk, industry demand changes, sustainable packaging, changing consumer demand, social sustainability, soil health and regenerative viticulture, ethical migrant labour practices, water management, what retailers will want from tomorrow’s wine world and more.
Sustainable Wine Founder Toby Webb remarked “Achieving a strong global marketplace for wine must go hand in hand with sustainable practices. This can only be successfully achieved through strengthened communication and collaborations from the various actors in the field,” he said.
