The Life Raft Group Announces New Board Members
Expanded Board will aid in the development of new initiatives

Wayne, NJ, April 26, 2021 The Life Raft Group (LRG), a patient advocacy organization specializing in GIST (Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor) cancer, welcomed two new members to its Board of Directors, Kay Stolzer and Dr. Monica (mOe) Anderson.

Comprised of individuals who are passionately invested in finding a cure for GIST, and to supporting and advocating for patients and caregivers, the LRG Board of Directors welcomes the newest members, and look forward to working together to fulfill their mission.

To quote Jerry Cudzil, Board President: I am excited and frankly humbled to announce the expansion of our board of directors. As our organization and our patient population grows, so does the need to continue to expand our board. It is with great excitement that I welcome Dr. Monica Anderson and Kay Stolzer to the board of the LRG.

Kay Stolzer has been very active in the LRG community as a volunteer. She currently serves as a GIST Mentor and formerly participated in the A3 Insurance Committee. Kay has extensive experience working as a business administrator. She is currently the facilitator of the LRG patient support group, “Living Well with GIST: A Monthly Support Group for Women.”

Dr. Monica, (mOe) Anderson is an inspirational leader, motivational speaker, author, podcaster, dentist, and entrepreneur. Dr. mOe has spoken at Life Raft Group events, served as a spokesperson for our holiday campaign, and was the emcee at the 2020 Women in Sarcoma Gala which honored women who have made an extraordinary impact on the lives of sarcoma patients. She has served as a board member and volunteer for several nonprofit organizations and has a wealth of knowledge as a business owner and executive of a publishing company.
