NHS takes an interest in proven Covid-killer air purifier - a ‘life-saver’ from UK company HCI

What's lurking in your air con system? Salford-based HCI has just launched potential life-saver Air-Revive.
Leading the field to ensure we breathe clean and uncontaminated air while inside is a unique purifying system from HCI in Salford, Greater Manchester. The Air-Revive module kills Covid by using a patented bi-polar ionisation system which breaks down the structure of viruses and bacteria. It effectively disinfects the air in a closed environment like a care home or office as it passes through a multi-layered filtration unit.
Air-Revive is destined to be an award-winner for innovation in healthcare the technology has just been awarded Covid 2 certification after being test under stringent lab conditions. It’s being hailed as a potential life-saver as Britain continues to cope with the coronavirus pandemic. The importance of clear purified air in homes, offices, hotels care homes etc is here to stay. The company is currently in talks with the NHS to trial the product in UK hospitals.
Virus-free zones
The air purification system is available as a stand-alone or wall mountable unit, or as a module to go into any HVAC system, creating virus-free zones. These affordable units start from less than £200 and are already catching the attention of hoteliers and the tourism industry generally.
Says HCI company director Jacob Eckstein: “A product that I took with a pinch of salt initially is now a potential life saver. If we knew what is in the air around us we would not want to breathe it!”
Air-Revive purifiers have six layers of filtration, killing off virus DNA in the air, and a UV light deactivates even the smallest micro-organisms.
But what makes Air-Revive unique on the air purifying market is that by ionising the air, it attacks and destroys all known viruses and bacteria, including the coronavirus. It’s price makes it affordable by British households as well as small to large institutions, where the health of workers and residents is paramount, such as in care homes.
According to a new editorial report just published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ), battling against the airborne transmission of Covid is core to any future attempts to reduce its spread in the population. The report states: ‘Good ventilation is essential. People can get infected if they are in a room where windows won’t open or there’s no ventilation system, as viruses can linger in the air even after a COVID-positive person has left.’
Hotels and Hospitality
“The roadmap to unlocking the hospitality industry is underway, and that’s great news of course for hotels and conference rooms. But a lot of people are going to be tentative about poking their heads out from behind the parapet,” says Mr Eckstein. “Air-Revive provides much-needed peace of mind, right at the time hotels in particular and leisure venues need it most.”
There’s a range of Air-Revive modules which can be easily integrated into existing air treatment systems - air conditioning, purifiers, humidifiers, ventilators, and so on - which makes them versatile enough for use in the home, commercial and business premises and of course in healthcare buildings. Care homes are an obvious beneficiary of Air-Revive.
The Air-Revive Cube is a smart air purifier popular in HCI's range because it’s a compact, freestanding modular system no bigger than a Wi-Fi speaker. A powerful, unobtrusive little unit which not only destroys bacteria and viruses but produces fresh air, indoors.
Air-Revive provides a marketable and competitive advantage. The various models all provide natural and refreshing air in places like hotel rooms, restaurants, and conference rooms. These truly essential units are smart and give the user customisable control.
