Power Manager 4.1.3 - Energy Saving Software for Mac OS X
Hereford, UK - 2 July, 2012 - DssW, the leading developer of Mac energy saving software, today announced the release of Power Manager 4.1.3 for Mac OS X. This release adds support for Gatekeeper and Mountain Lion.Power Manager is an energy saving solution for Mac OS X. Power Manager enables users to create sophisticated energy saving schedules and to automate time consuming tasks. Power Manager can power on a Mac, run a series of tasks, and power off the Mac without requiring any interaction.
"Power Manager 4.1.3 marks a change in the way we present the product." said Graham Miln, Director. "Power Manager has grown from a System Preference into an application. This change opens up how we can augment our customers' Macs and will better highlight Power Manager as a leading tool."
The System Preference pane has been upgraded to an application. This change reduces the number of files needing installation. Supporting files for Automator, QuickLook, and Spotlight are now embedded in the application. Documentation has also moved inside Power Manager's bundle.
This release adds support for Mac OS X 10.8, aka Mountain Lion, Developer Preview releases and Apple's new security technology Gatekeeper. Power Manager 4.1.3 has been digitally signed with a Developer ID; previous versions were signed with the DssW certificate chain.
This update removes support for PowerPC (PPC) based Macs and raises the requirements from Mac OS X 10.4 to 10.6. Dropping support for PPC has been a tough decision.
Power Manager 4.1.3 also includes the usual selection of refinements and bug fixes.

Pricing and Availability
Power Manager is available through the DssW web site for 39.95 EUR.
Power Manager requires Mac OS X 10.6 or later.
This update is highly recommended and free for users of Power Manager 4. Existing users can update using Power Manager's automatic software update.
