Tampa, FL – June 22, 2012 – Inspired by the ultimate sacrifice made by the members of the US military and dedicated to philanthropic efforts, Beef ‘O’ Brady’s has announced a new charitable partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project. The 214-unit franchise of family sports pubs and restaurants, best known for great food and ties it builds with communities, announced the relationship with a $25,000 check at the annual company retreat in St. Pete’s Beach, FL on June 13, 2012.

The decision to name Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) as the national charitable partner of Beef ‘O’ Brady’s came after franchise partners and corporate associates went through a collaborative and comprehensive process to determine a beneficiary that best resonated with the brand, guests, and the franchise system. WWP was determined the perfect fit.

“Our local owners have always been big supporters of veterans and local charitable military groups. When we became more familiar with WWP, we knew it was a perfect fit for the company across the board,” said Chris Eliot, CEO of Beef ‘O’ Brady’s. “The organization’s emphasis on family-based support is something to which we feel especially connected as it’s something we value, both internally and with our own customers.”

WWF began after several veterans and friends were moved by stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq post September 22, 2011. The organization started as a way to provide comfort to wounded service members and has become a complete rehabilitative effort to help warriors transition back to civilian life. WWP works with veterans and their families through a holistic approach, nurturing the mind and body, to encourage economic empowerment and engagement.

Despite boasting a new beneficiary, the brand is no stranger to philanthropic efforts. On a local level, each Beef ‘O’ Brady’s location makes a significant effort to become completely entrenched within its community through volunteer efforts, outreach and involvement.
