Radford Army Ammunitions Plant Makes Major Cuts, Driving Up Relevance of Hound.com

June 15, 2012 - Pasadena, CA - Bad news was just announced for employees at the Radford Army Ammunitions plant. In fact, 840 people are being laid off from the location, throwing even more people into the unemployment pool.

This is occurring due to a contract with ATK that's ceasing at the end of June. At the beginning of July, BAE Systems will be taking up operations there. Now, many of the people that are being laid off may be hired back by BAE. This is a common occurrence. However, it doesn't always happen, and in the meantime, those laid off may feel out of sorts as they scramble to find a new position somewhere.
