Amazing Tips to Have a Better Sleep at Night

In today’s time everyone at some point in life must have experienced sleeplessness (Insomnia). At least one feel lucky and fortunate if the person is able to complete 7-8 hours’ sleep at night. But after following these amazing tips and applying them I have noticed that my quality of sleep has improved.
Let’s try to understand the main reasons behind these sleep disorders :
Medical Conditions : High Blood Pressure, Heart Diseases, Depression, Cold & Cough and Pain in any body part.
• Stress & Anxiety : Work or Family related tensions sometimes becomes a reason in developing stress like situation and leads to Insomnia.
• Bad Habits : Smoking Cigarettes, Taking Drugs and Boozing are the most common reasons why people are not able to have a quality sleep.

How can we resolve sleep related disorders by simply changing habits :
1. Fixing Sleep and Awake Timings : Inculcate the habit of going to bed at the same time every night and rising at the regular and fixed morning time. Initially one would find this difficult but believe me once it’s developed half of the battle is won. Our body follows a biological clock, and disturbing that would result in less quality sleep.
2. Focusing on Mental Health : How one can have a good sleep if our mind is not relaxed? It’s extremely important to keep our mind healthy in order to take most out of it. Exercising daily for at least 30-45 mins and doing some breathing exercise would really help in that. Meditating even for 20 mins a day give wonderful results. Perform Kapalbhati and Anulom-vilom pranayama for 10 mins each. They help in improving concentration, spiritual power and memory strength.
3. Eating Healthy Foods : Always eat salad bowl filled with lettuce, berries, cottage cheese and honey before meal. It soothes the body and helps in getting relaxing sleep at night. Fix a time in a day when you would be having nuts and fruits, it may be a 11 AM snack or a 4 PM snack. Having vegetable/fruit juice daily would give amazing health benefits. Remember, it’s not a one-day exercise but developing a habit for life.
4. Meal Timings : Just like sleep patterns we have to follow a rigid schedule of taking Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and Dinner at fixed timings. Never, I mean never skip your breakfast as it’s the most important meal of the day. Make sure to have Dinner at least 2-3 hours before going to bed. It should be light and would be ideal if we could wrap it up by 8 PM. Having breakfast before 8:30 AM would give incredible results.
